If you let out flats, shared houses or manage a block, fire safety is both a legal must and a real responsibility to your tenants. We help landlords and managing agents stay fully compliant and keep residents safe.
We provide fire alarms designed for shared housing, extinguishers, emergency lighting and signage, fire risk assessments and dry riser testing — plus CeaseFire units for kitchens and electrical cupboards, a common cause of fires in rented homes.

A fire alarm gives everyone the earliest possible warning, so people can get out safely and the fire brigade can be called straight away.
Whatever you need — upgrading an older system, cutting down on false alarms in a block of flats, or fitting a wireless alarm in a day with no mess and no wiring — we can sort it. Our local engineers cover the whole of the South West and look after systems of every size, from a single shop to a large hospital, including listed buildings.
We design, install, commission and maintain alarms to the British Standard (BS5839), and there are three main types to choose from:

Having the right extinguisher to hand can stop a small fire turning into a disaster. We supply, fit and service every type.
Most fire risk assessments call for extinguishers, and we make sure you have the correct ones for your building. Our engineers are BAFE accredited, and we service every extinguisher each year so it is always ready to use.
Different fires need different extinguishers, so we will match them to your risks:
We can also supply specialist units, including for lithium-ion battery risks, and service your fire hose reels.

By law, most businesses must have a fire risk assessment. We arrange one for you, carried out by independent experts.
A fire risk assessment is a legal requirement for anyone employing five or more people, as well as licensed premises, public buildings and shared residential properties such as HMOs.
An assessor walks through your building, spots anything that could start or help spread a fire, and gives you a clear, easy-to-follow action plan showing exactly what, if anything, needs putting right.
We use fully independent, accredited assessors, so the advice you get is completely impartial. Their reports use the nationally recognised PAS79+ format, and we can quote — with no obligation — for any work that is needed.

Dry risers are empty pipes built into taller buildings that let firefighters quickly get water to the upper floors.
If a building is over 18m tall, or more than 45m from where fire engines can reach, the law requires these pipes to be tested regularly so they work the moment they are needed.
We are one of the few local firms that carry out this work in-house. There are two checks:
We are registered with BAFE, members of IFEDA, SAFE Contractor approved and fully insured.

If the power fails during a fire, emergency lighting keeps escape routes lit so everyone can find their way out.
The moment the mains power goes off, emergency lighting switches on by itself and guides everyone safely to the exits. We have been installing and maintaining it for many years, in shops, offices, flats and HMOs.
We fit all types — from bulkhead LED fittings to discreet architectural lights, intelligent self-testing systems and central battery setups — and make sure everything meets the BS5266 standard.
Our engineers will survey your building, advise on exactly what you need, and keep it all properly maintained.

Clear signs show people where the exits and fire equipment are — vital when every second counts.
When a building is smoky or unfamiliar, clear signs guide people to safety and point out where the fire equipment is.
We stock a huge range of photoluminescent, or ‘glow-in-the-dark’, safety signs at competitive prices, and can order almost any sign at short notice. They all come with a five-year guarantee and exceed the relevant British, European and international standards.
Our team is trained to choose and position the right signs for your premises, with a specialist on hand for larger or more unusual projects.

CeaseFire systems put out fires automatically, around the clock, with no power and no one needed to set them off.
In shared houses and rental flats, the two biggest fire risks are kitchens and electrics — and CeaseFire deals with both on its own.
Because the units work automatically, they keep protecting your tenants around the clock.

Automatic fire suppression built into the kitchen, tackling a cooking fire the moment it starts — round-the-clock protection for homes, flats and rental properties, even when no one’s there to react.
Most home fires start in the kitchen. A Ceasefire domestic suppression system fits discreetly within the cooker hood area and detects a fire automatically, discharging its agent straight onto the source to cool the flames and stop them spreading — no human intervention needed.
Available with water mist or wet chemical technology, it is ideal for rental homes, HMOs, supported and student living, holiday lets and care settings, giving landlords, operators and residents 24-hour peace of mind.

Clear, glow-in-the-dark wayfinding signage helps residents and firefighters find their way, even in smoke or a power cut.
We supply and install Everlux photoluminescent wayfinding signage — floor and flat numbers, directional arrows, low-level escape guidance and fire action notices — tailored to your building and its escape routes.
