wayfinding signage

Clear and effective wayfinding signage plays an important role in building safety, helping residents, visitors, and emergency services navigate buildings quickly and efficiently during an emergency.

At Argos Fire Protection, we supply and install Everlux photoluminescent wayfinding signage, providing durable, highly visible signage that remains effective during power failures and low-light conditions. Designed to enhance safety and improve building navigation, our signage solutions are tailored to the specific requirements of each property.

Bespoke wayfinding signage solutions

Our wayfinding signage can be customised to suit your building and may include:

Floor and storey identification
Flat and apartment numbers
Directional wayfinding signage
Building and block identification
Emergency route information
Site-specific safety information
Landlord, housing association, or stakeholder branding

Whether for a residential tower, apartment block, mixed-use development, student accommodation, or housing association property, clear signage can help improve navigation and support emergency response procedures.

Low-level escape route guidance

In the event of a fire, smoke can significantly reduce visibility at normal eye level. Low-level wayfinding systems provide additional guidance closer to floor level, where visibility may be less affected by smoke.

These systems can assist occupants and emergency responders by clearly identifying escape routes, floor levels, and property numbers throughout a building.

Low-level signage is particularly beneficial within:

Stairwells
Lift lobbies
Communal corridors
Residential escape routes
Common areas and circulation spaces

Fire safety signage & information displays

In addition to wayfinding signage, many buildings require clearly displayed fire safety information to support residents, visitors, and building users during an emergency.

Argos Fire Protection can provide and install:

Fire Action Notices
Evacuation and stay-put information
Escape route plans
Assembly point signage
Refuge point signage
Fire safety information boards
Building-specific emergency instructions

These measures help ensure occupants understand the building’s emergency procedures and evacuation strategy.

Every building is different. Our team can carry out a site survey to assess your requirements and recommend a wayfinding signage solution tailored to your property.

From individual residential blocks to large multi-building developments, we can provide a complete service from survey and design through to installation, helping you maintain compliance while improving safety and navigation throughout your building.
